Manta Media Capital invests in Party Action People and Digital Pathology + AI
Two deals form part of a programme of more than six investments to be made by the group.
Manta Media Capital has acquired stakes in two businesses. Both deals form part of a wider programme of what will be more than six investments negotiated by the group over the summer.
The first is in Party Action People, the Singapore headquartered events business founded in 2021 and led by Zach John. Party Action People runs modern finance events covering blockchain, tokenisation, agentic finance and digital vaults. Alongside the investment, the two businesses are launching PE4KS, a global event series serving the institutional finance industry.
Zach John, founder of Party Action People, said: "Manta is helping us unlock 'the next level'. We are already profitable and operating globally, but our experience lies in our industry more than the business of events. We chose Manta because they get their hands dirty and know where to support. Within weeks, before we even completed the investment process, they'd upgraded our finance function, rebuilt our marketing engine, and connected us to world-class hires we would not have known how to attract.
“These are people who've built and exited events businesses, but they still show up every week like it's their own company. It feels less like a traditional VC investment and more like welcoming new business partners on board.”
The second deal is a stake in Global Engage's Digital Pathology + AI European event, which will trade as DigiPath. The event has run successfully for 12 years as part of a broader portfolio of scientific and medical events. The carve out gives DigiPath its own company, team and infrastructure, along with the year round support needed to build a significantly larger event.
Steve Hambrook, co-founder, Global Engage, said:"We've built Digital Pathology and AI into one of the leading events in its field over more than a decade, but running it alongside the rest of our portfolio was always going to cap how far we could take it. Toby and the team got that straight away. Giving DigiPath its own company, its own team and dedicated resource means we can finally give it the focus it deserves. Manta back that up with real support, not just capital, and that's exactly why we chose to do this deal with them."
Toby Duckworth, founder and Managing Partner of Manta Media Capital, added: "Party Action People is a great example of what we look for when we invest in 'founders with ideas'. Great founders with a deep understanding of their market, but light on B2B event experience. We lay on support and funding in the areas they need covering, so we can build something more substantial together.
"The carve out of Digital Pathology + AI represents a different structure of deal for Manta. The event has been running successfully for more than a decade but hasn’t had it’s own platform or dedicated resources required to grow to it’s full potential. By giving it its own infrastructure, team and focus, we believe we can elevate the event for its customers and serve a much larger segment of a deeply important sector.”
Four further investments will be announced in the coming weeks.
